Scariff Islands, County Kerry, Ireland

Scariff Island ('Scariff' means rugged), lies in the Atlantic ocean.  One family lived there in the nineteenth centure to care the cattle which grazed on the island. On the summit of the hill there were remains of an ancient hermitage and, on the east side, ruins of a church. It is now uninhabited.

This card, from the 'Celtic Ireland' range from Heart of a Garden, features beautiful photography from Ireland, the Emerald Isle. These colourful cards come with no text inside so you can use them for any occasion.
