John James Audubon, illustrations from The Birds of America, c. 1827-38



Audubon was an artist and naturalist whose magnum opus The Birds of America is considered one of the most important ornithological works ever completed. A copy of this wonderful set of illustrations is held within the collection of The Fitzwilliam Museum. This attractively packaged notecard set contains five colourful depictions of birds amongst foliage from Audubon's masterwork and will delight bird lovers and art lovers alike. Illustrations included: Columbia Jay (cover image), Blue Grey Flycatcher, Band-tailed Pigeon, Audubon's Warbler, and Columbian Humming Bird.
